Tudor Bodea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rikard Hake received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Corneliu Vulpăşin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tudor Bodea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Munter having to interfere. Rikard Hake sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Unicorns ™ defense, Greger Åberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Corneliu Vulpăşin. The Unicorns ™ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Corneliu Vulpăşin should have stopped the shot. Hartlepool's Martin Munter proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Hartlepool from getting a goal against them.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tudor Bodea was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute Tudor Bodea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Munter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tudor Bodea in the 57th minute of play forced Hartlepool's goalkeeper Martin Munter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rikard Hake struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Corneliu Vulpăşin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hartlepool. Corneliu Vulpăşin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Greger Åberg in the 85th minute of play. After 88 played minutes Hartlepool got a freekick which was hit by Maximilian Mager. The supporters of Hartlepool booed when Unicorns ™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ştefan Vâtcă didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hartlepool's Martin Munter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tudor Bodea in the 91st minute of play. After 91 minutes, Niklas Nickel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hartlepool and the Unicorns ™ players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 92nd minute, Niklas Nickel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 93rd match minute, Hartlepool was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niklas Nickel to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Aurel Huștiu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Unicorns ™'s supporters rose to their feet, but Aurel Huștiu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Martin Munter breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Hartlepool players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
