Corneliu Vulpăşin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciriaco Cordarrell, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. A nice corner shot did that Marcelo Michael got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Corneliu Vulpăşin quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 11 played minutes SAN LORENZO FC got a freekick which was hit by Raimundo Domiku. Ciriaco Cordarrells short, quick shot in the 24thth minute got Corneliu Vulpăşin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. SAN LORENZO FC's John Locke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tudor Bodea in the 31st minute of play. John Locke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petrică Ţirpescu in the 31st minute of play. After a rather tough play, SAN LORENZO FC's Froilan Jatsu got a free kick in the 45th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tudor Bodea to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, SAN LORENZO FC's goalkeeper John Locke had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rareș Papadima. Corneliu Vulpăşin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciriaco Cordarrell, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ciriaco Cordarrell in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Corneliu Vulpăşin saved Unicorns ™ from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Unicorns ™'s Rareș Papadima got a free kick in the 61st minute. Corneliu Vulpăşin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciriaco Cordarrell, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. After 63 played minutes SAN LORENZO FC got a freekick which was hit by Froilan Jatsu. Corneliu Vulpăşin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ciriaco Cordarrell's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. Ciriaco Cordarrell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Corneliu Vulpăşin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SAN LORENZO FC's Ruperto Erlantz was substituted for Justino Quinito. After 72 played minutes SAN LORENZO FC got a freekick which was hit by Froilan Jatsu. Ciriaco Cordarrell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Corneliu Vulpăşin having to interfere. 81 minutes into the match, Unicorns ™'s goal looked a bit too open when Ciriaco Cordarrell came free, but Corneliu Vulpăşin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ciriaco Cordarrell might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Corneliu Vulpăşin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ciriaco Cordarrell ran back to his position shaking his head. Ciriaco Cordarrell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ciriaco Cordarrell in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Corneliu Vulpăşin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fabricio Dunixi kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. SAN LORENZO FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
