Thanks to some nice moves Jarvis Cormier could shoot a difficult shot in the 7th minute, which John Locke however easily saved by the left post. Ciriaco Cordarrell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Máté Galambos having to interfere. In the 19th minute, Boca Juniors's Dalmacio Jaume ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind John Locke. John Locke yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. The audience was convinced that Ciriaco Cordarrell's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Máté Galambos was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Boca Juniors's Aron Jonasson got a free kick in the 28th minute. Máté Galambos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelo Michael in the 29th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Erubiel Lano came free, but Máté Galambos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erubiel Lano took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Máté Galambos. Máté Galambos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciriaco Cordarrell in the 35th minute of play forced Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Máté Galambos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ciriaco Cordarrell in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Máté Galambos saved Boca Juniors from getting behind. SAN LORENZO FC's John Locke proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save SAN LORENZO FC from getting a goal against them. The wind increased when Ciriaco Cordarrell made the kick off in the second half. In the 60th minute, Justino Quinito got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, SAN LORENZO FC's Justino Quinito got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Máté Galambos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ciriaco Cordarrell in the 64th minute. Boca Juniors's Máté Galambos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Boca Juniors from getting a goal against them. If Ciriaco Cordarrell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 71 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Máté Galambos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ciriaco Cordarrell. Máté Galambos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ciriaco Cordarrell's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. After some careless play in the SAN LORENZO FC defense, Dalmacio Jaume kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of John Locke. The SAN LORENZO FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that John Locke should have stopped the shot. Ciriaco Cordarrell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 87th match minute, SAN LORENZO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustavo Matosas to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Boca Juniors booed when SAN LORENZO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Matosas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89th minute of the match Wayne Cardoso sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but John Locke skillfully saved the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Boca Juniors's zone, Ciriaco Cordarrell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Máté Galambos came out of the goal and Ciriaco Cordarrell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Taylor Dunbar kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Máté Galambos was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Marcelo Michael. An unexpectedly hard shot by Collin Rowley in the 95th minute of play forced SAN LORENZO FC's goalkeeper John Locke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
