In the 3rd minute, Bogdan Bambas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bogdan Bambas might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sílvio Luiz Paraense. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bogdan Bambas ran back to his position shaking his head. Erwann Patrice fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sílvio Luiz Paraense having to interfere. If Bogdan Bambas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. MALAIA FDFDF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maurinho Soeiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to MALAIA FDFDF getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Adelino Freitas hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bogdan Bambas in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sílvio Luiz Paraense saved MALAIA FDFDF from getting behind. In the 26th minute, one of MALAIA FDFDF:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for MALAIA FDFDF. MALAIA FDFDF's Sílvio Luiz Paraense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bogdan Bambas in the 38th minute of play. Afonso Guerra made in the 43rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Maurinho Soeiro however managed to control. Sílvio Luiz Paraense made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bogdan Bambas in the 46th minute. When Cosa nostra Lyon's Bogdan Bambas in the 48th minute got a chance for a shot 48th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye MALAIA FDFDF's goalie prevented a goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bogdan Bambas to strike the kick off in the second half. Cosa nostra Lyon's Florian Lardenois quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Adelino Freitas, made in the 53rd minute of the game. Bogdan Bambas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sílvio Luiz Paraense having to make a save. Adelino Freitas made in the 60th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Emerson da Fonseca immediately put the ball in play. Ahmid Lamouroux took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurinho Soeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bogdan Bambas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bogdan Bambas in the 71st minute of play forced MALAIA FDFDF's goalkeeper Sílvio Luiz Paraense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adelino Freitas made in the 74th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Zé Pedro Torres. José Maria Rosa made in the 75th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Emerson da Fonseca immediately put the ball in play. In the 77thth minute of the game José Rivera who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MALAIA FDFDF's Sílvio Luiz Paraense was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Cosa nostra Lyon's Davy Patron got a free kick in the 77th minute. The throw-in from Adelino Freitas in the 80th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Cosa nostra Lyon's Thierry Platon. Sílvio Luiz Paraense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Rivera in the 84th minute of play. José Rivera might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sílvio Luiz Paraense. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. José Rivera ran back to his position shaking his head. Ahmid Lamouroux came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by MALAIA FDFDF's Emerson da Fonseca. But to his dismay, Emerson da Fonseca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. José Maria Rosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Ahmid Lamouroux tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ahmid Lamouroux showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maurinho Soeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. José Rivera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the MALAIA FDFDF players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Cosa nostra Lyon.
