Espigão Steamrollers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Isaac Perrando was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastián Izquierdo in the 36th minute of play forced Espigão Steamrollers's goalkeeper Vicente Catarinense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute, Sebastián Izquierdo made a precise shot to the right of Vicente Catarinense. Espigão Steamrollers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Benicio Izquierdo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Vicente Catarinense came out and tried to block the shot, but Benicio Izquierdo slotted it home off the left post making it 2-7 in the 76th minute. A collision led to Martin Palermo F.C. getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Jorge Jaunti hit a great ball. After 97 played minutes, Espigão Steamrollers's Cauã Pombal shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Martín Izquierdo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Espigão Steamrollers reached it. The Espigão Steamrollers fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Martin Palermo F.C. were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
