Eddie Murphy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernandão Penha having to interfere. In the 8th minute, Richard Martins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 9 minutes into the game, Francisco de Godoi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Castanheiro SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Real Trabzon Sk the free kick. In the 10th minute, Francisco de Godoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sefa Tanaltay might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fernandão Penha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sefa Tanaltay ran back to his position shaking his head. Sefa Tanaltay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Atabey Mutlu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Salles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16th match minute, Castanheiro SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Salles to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Castanheiro SC booed when Real Trabzon Sk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adnan Kayıboylu didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Leonardo Trancoso put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Atabey Mutlu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anthony Nwakaeme in the 34th minute of play forced Castanheiro SC's goalkeeper Fernandão Penha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Castanheiro SC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 44th minute. Penalty! The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leonardo Trancoso to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 63rd minute Eddie Murphy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernandão Penha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, Castanheiro SC's goal looked a bit too open when Eddie Murphy came free, but Fernandão Penha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Salles kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. If Anthony Nwakaeme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 80 minutes of play, Castanheiro SC's Leonardo Trancoso made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Atabey Mutlu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Real Trabzon Sk's Atabey Mutlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonardo Trancoso in the 84th minute of play. 85 minutes into the game, Adnan Kayıboylu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real Trabzon Sk's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Castanheiro SC the free kick. Adnan Kayıboylu kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Atabey Mutlu made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Leonardo Trancoso sent off a good shot on target. When Dino das Neves fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Castanheiro SC's protests and gave Dino das Neves a yellow card for diving instead. In the 91st minute, one of Castanheiro SC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Castanheiro SC. Castanheiro SC:s Fernandão Penha showed great skill when he stopped Orhan Veli Tankut:s penalty. When Leonardo Trancoso came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Castanheiro SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonardo Trancoso couldn't finish the play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
