Cecilio Mel received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Teobald Bator came out and tried to block the shot, but Cecilio Mel slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 36th minute. After 38 played minutes Legia Warszawa 【L】 got a freekick which was hit by Karol Czerniejewski. When Cecilio Mel came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Paunero fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cecilio Mel couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Paunero booed when Legia Warszawa 【L】 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aleksander Teofila didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 70th minute Karol Czerniejewski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Modesto Theodore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Aleksander Teofila hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paunero's Modesto Theodore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karol Czerniejewski in the 75th minute of play. Modesto Theodore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karol Czerniejewski in the 77th minute of play. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Paunero's goalie and right to Tạ Mara. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Paunero's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Paunero's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
