After having played for 4 minutes, Jan-Erik Lönn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Formentera's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jan-Erik Lönn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 11 minutes into the match, Formentera's goal looked a bit too open when Alonzo Gervaso came free, but Justo Estefan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Modesto Theodore didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jan-Erik Lönn went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 19 minutes into the match, Paunero's goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Erik Lönn came free, but Modesto Theodore reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hernan Chus kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. In the 23rd match minute, Formentera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan-Erik Lönn to maneuver through the defense. Alonzo Gervaso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Justo Estefan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Justo Estefan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silverio Semeno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Justino Hondo's late challenge caught a Paunero's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Justino Hondo helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Paunero booed when Formentera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justino Hondo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Justo Estefan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cecilio Mel in the 33rd minute. Iker Garin hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. 38 minutes into the match, Paunero's goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Erik Lönn came free, but Modesto Theodore reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Justo Estefan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cecilio Mel in the 42nd minute. Justo Estefan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alonzo Gervaso in the 45th minute of the match.

After 59 minutes of play Formentera's Justino Hondo was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Formentera getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Justino Hondo hit a great ball. In the 61st match minute, Formentera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Justino Hondo to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alonzo Gervaso in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Justo Estefan saved Formentera from getting behind. In the 65th match minute, Paunero was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fermin Neto to maneuver through the defense. Paunero's Modesto Theodore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan-Erik Lönn in the 67th minute of play. Justo Estefan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cecilio Mel, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Silverio Semeno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Justo Estefan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Osvaldo Sugar hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Justo Estefan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alonzo Gervaso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 87 minutes into the match, Formentera's Geronimo Silviano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Modesto Theodore narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ariel Libertad was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 90 minutes into the match. Formentera's Geronimo Lope was substituted for Geronimo Silviano. Justo Estefan had in the 92ndth minute some difficulties stopping Everardo Dodorol's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Justo Estefan came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Paunero's Everardo Dodorol. But to his dismay, Everardo Dodorol quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. A collision led to Formentera getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Geronimo Lope hit a great ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Paunero fans cheered their team off the field, for while Formentera had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
