Sandro Asteguieta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilberto Jakobe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Arrecifes fans' excitement grew in the 16th match minute when Arrecifes's Gilberto Jakobe looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 25 minutes into the game, Gilberto Jakobe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Xosepe Mella during the 48th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Arrecifes booed when CD Suscal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xosepe Mella didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-8 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 86th minute of the match, Igor Emmanuel tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sandro Asteguieta saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 88 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Arrecifes's Igor Emmanuel fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Sandro Asteguieta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Igor Emmanuel in the 91st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Igor Emmanuel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sandro Asteguieta was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. Igor Emmanuel might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sandro Asteguieta. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Igor Emmanuel ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Igor Emmanuel got free with Sandro Asteguieta in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 95 minutes into the match, Igor Emmanuel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sandro Asteguieta. CD Suscal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Igor Emmanuel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-11. Arrecifes's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
