Canarinho Atordoado's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Go Ahead Eagles the free kick. Jeremias Zanette hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. The long shot by Ntinos Vounatsos in the 5th minute really tested Egídio Sampaio's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 9th minute, Go Ahead Eagles's Panagiotis Bourousis dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. 14 minutes into the match, Canarinho Atordoado's goalkeeper Egídio Sampaio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Panagiotis Bourousis. Manos Papaiakovou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fellipe Sampaio in the 15th minute of play. João Cerezo charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed João Cerezo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. João Cerezo kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Go Ahead Eagles's Ntinos Vounatsos shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 16th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Egídio Sampaio but with some difficulty. 19 minutes into the match, Canarinho Atordoado's goalkeeper Egídio Sampaio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Manos Christodoulou. The audience thought a goal was coming when Panagiotis Bourousis got free with Egídio Sampaio in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Egídio Sampaio made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Manos Christodoulou sent off a good shot on target. 23 minutes into the match, Canarinho Atordoado's goalkeeper Egídio Sampaio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Panagiotis Bourousis. Percival dos Santos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Go Ahead Eagles's Nikos Moustos got a free kick in the 27th minute. 1-1 became the score in the 29th minute when Percival dos Santos elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Manos Papaiakovou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Percival dos Santos in the 33rd minute of the match. During the 35th minute of the match Jeremias Zanette completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Jeremias Zanette a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Canarinho Atordoado's Jeremias Zanette got a free kick in the 36th minute. Egídio Sampaio was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Ntinos Vounatsos. In the 39th match minute, Go Ahead Eagles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Periklis Vakalis to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Go Ahead Eagles booed when Canarinho Atordoado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Percival dos Santos didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Percival dos Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manos Papaiakovou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Percival dos Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fellipe Sampaio to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, João Cerezo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Canarinho Atordoado's supporters rose to their feet, but João Cerezo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manos Papaiakovou breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Canarinho Atordoado's Egídio Sampaio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giotis Kouloucheris in the 60th minute of play. Periklis Vakalis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Egídio Sampaio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manos Christodoulou, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. 65 minutes into the match, Canarinho Atordoado's Percival dos Santos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Manos Papaiakovou narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 66th minute Percival dos Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manos Papaiakovou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elói Loureiro hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Manos Papaiakovou yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. João Cerezo struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Manos Papaiakovou didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Canarinho Atordoado. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manos Christodoulou in the 81st minute of play forced Canarinho Atordoado's goalkeeper Egídio Sampaio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fellipe Sampaio got free with Manos Papaiakovou in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Canarinho Atordoado's Egídio Sampaio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nikos Moustos in the 85th minute of play. If Panagiotis Bourousis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 95 minutes into the game, Giotis Kouloucheris was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Go Ahead Eagles's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Canarinho Atordoado the free kick. Giotis Kouloucheris hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The Canarinho Atordoado players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Go Ahead Eagles from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
