With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tibau De Jaeger in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manos Papaiakovou saved Go Ahead Eagles from getting behind. 6 minutes into the match, Jimmie Cai had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Manos Papaiakovou. Go Ahead Eagles's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jimmie Cai was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Manos Papaiakovou took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Waclaw Poremba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13th minute, Jan Oosterveld ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Manos Papaiakovou was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 16th minute, Waclaw Poremba left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The MK Investments fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Peter Oldenborger made an important save on a dangerous shot by Panagiotis Bourousis in the 19th minute. In the 21st match minute, Go Ahead Eagles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christodoulos Vazakas to maneuver through the defense. Manos Papaiakovou took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Waclaw Poremba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Waclaw Poremba during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 27th match minute, MK Investments was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Waclaw Poremba to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Waclaw Poremba in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manos Papaiakovou prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Manos Papaiakovou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domenik Hoffhuis in the 32nd minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Go Ahead Eagles's goal looked a bit too open when Waclaw Poremba came free, but Manos Papaiakovou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute, Domenik Hoffhuis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Manos Papaiakovou was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. In the 42nd minute, Tibau De Jaeger made a precise shot to the right of Manos Papaiakovou. Go Ahead Eagles's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. After the first half MK Investments were leading 0-7. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

52 minutes into the match, Domenik Hoffhuis notched a goal, 0-8, to the right of Go Ahead Eagles's Manos Papaiakovou. Manos Papaiakovou was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Domenik Hoffhuis took a quick shot and it went in 0-10 without a chance for Manos Papaiakovou to make any attempt to save it. After 69 minutes of play, MK Investments's Waclaw Poremba made it 0-11 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Manos Papaiakovou was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice moves Waclaw Poremba could shoot a difficult shot in the 72nd minute, which Manos Papaiakovou however easily saved by the left post. Waclaw Poremba let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 73rd minute shot 0-12 at rihgt post. 75 minutes into the match, Domenik Hoffhuis dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Manos Papaiakovou, 0-13. 78 minutes into the game, MK Investments's Domenik Hoffhuis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Manos Papaiakovou made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-14. Manos Papaiakovou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domenik Hoffhuis, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Tibau De Jaeger hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. 90 minutes had been played when some careless play by Go Ahead Eagles's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Michal Pazdan was slow to take the kick. During this time MK Investments's players had a chance to rest. Jimmie Cai was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Ntinos Vounatsos's late challenge caught a MK Investments's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ntinos Vounatsos helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of MK Investments booed when Go Ahead Eagles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ntinos Vounatsos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 93rd minute, Pascal Bults fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Manos Papaiakovou, passed just outside the right post. MK Investments's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
