Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Wilfredo Berriotxoa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benigno Froila in the 5th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Cleto Efren notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Águilas Poblanas's Fabricio Stephen. Fabricio Stephen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Benigno Froila took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wilfredo Berriotxoa. Wilfredo Berriotxoa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Fabricio Stephen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerardo Pirmin, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After having played for 21 minutes, Cleto Efren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético Nacional's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cleto Efren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Roberto Mateus's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilfredo Berriotxoa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. A collision led to Atlético Nacional getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Celestino Rudolfo hit a great ball. 30 minutes into the game, Elpidio Chayo lined in a short shot 2-1 behind a frustrated Wilfredo Berriotxoa. In the 34th minute, Alonzo Rocendo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 36th minute Everardo Johans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabricio Stephen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Atlético Nacional's Cleto Efren got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Águilas Poblanas booed when Atlético Nacional was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cleto Efren didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Clemente Llope had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 45 played minutes Atlético Nacional got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Mendez. A collision led to Águilas Poblanas getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Elpidio Chayo hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gerardo Pirmin to make the kick off. Fabricio Stephen made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Celestino Rudolfo sent off a good shot on target. Everardo Johans hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. In the 54th minute Elpidio Chayo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilfredo Berriotxoa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 56 minutes Atlético Nacional's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Benigno Froila who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Águilas Poblanas's corner Benigno Froila fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Wilfredo Berriotxoa quite easily take care of the ball. Everardo Johans recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 62 minutes into the match, Cleto Efren dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fabricio Stephen, 2-2. Gerardo Pirmin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Fabricio Stephen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Celestino Rudolfo during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Águilas Poblanas booed when Atlético Nacional was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celestino Rudolfo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 69 minutes into the match, Águilas Poblanas's goalkeeper Fabricio Stephen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alonzo Rocendo. Cleto Efren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th minute, Benigno Froila made a precise shot to the right of Wilfredo Berriotxoa. Atlético Nacional's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. After 80 played minutes Gerardo Pirmin rounded Águilas Poblanas's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-3. A collision led to Atlético Nacional getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Gerardo Pirmin hit a great ball. Wilfredo Berriotxoa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benigno Froila, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute.
