Karim Sifi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgilio Monico in the 16th minute of the match. Fabricio Stephen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Donat Collier in the 22nd minute. After 22 played minutes Águilas Poblanas got a freekick which was hit by Leonardo Estavan. Águilas Poblanas's defense didn't have a chance, in the 43rd minute, when Piero Quispe scored to the left of an out of position Fabricio Stephen, making the score, 2-1. 47 minutes into the match, Piero Quispe dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fabricio Stephen, 3-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

Karim Sifi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgilio Monico, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Virgilio Guerau charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Karim Sifi yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-2. José Luis Carranza's late challenge caught a Águilas Poblanas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. In the 95th match minute, Nova Soccer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santio Cabello to maneuver through the defense. 96 minutes into the game, Benigno Froila cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-5. Karim Sifi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
