With an all-out effort, Algarrobo's Anak Habib threw himself towards the right post 3 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lion Messi, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Bawang Merah might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kaodilinakachukwu Papacharalabous. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bawang Merah ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bawang Merah in the 5th minute of play forced Algarrobo's goalkeeper Kaodilinakachukwu Papacharalabous to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kaodilinakachukwu Papacharalabous showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bawang Merah, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bawang Merah in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kaodilinakachukwu Papacharalabous prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bawang Merah in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kaodilinakachukwu Papacharalabous saved Algarrobo from getting behind. In the 14th minute, Maxín Escudero left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Algarrobo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. The supporters of SAPI FC booed when Algarrobo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Martín Olivar didn't get a good kick on the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Bawang Merah notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Algarrobo's Kaodilinakachukwu Papacharalabous. Kaodilinakachukwu Papacharalabous was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kaodilinakachukwu Papacharalabous made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bawang Merah in the 21st minute of play. 21 minutes into the game, Bawang Merah cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Kaodilinakachukwu Papacharalabous was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Algarrobo defense, Bawang Merah kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kaodilinakachukwu Papacharalabous. The Algarrobo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kaodilinakachukwu Papacharalabous should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bawang Merah in the 28th minute of play forced Algarrobo's goalkeeper Kaodilinakachukwu Papacharalabous to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 29 minutes into the match, SAPI FC's goalkeeper Anak Habib had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maxín Escudero. Anak Habib made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maxín Escudero in the 43rd minute of play. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Algarrobo's Desiderio Marti was substituted for Maxín Escudero. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bawang Merah to make the kick off. Anak Habib showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Desiderio Marti, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Kaodilinakachukwu Papacharalabous didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bawang Merah went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. The supporters of SAPI FC booed when Algarrobo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Idoate didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kaodilinakachukwu Papacharalabous took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bawang Merah, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Desiderio Marti blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anak Habib having to make a save. After 66 played minutes SAPI FC got a freekick which was hit by Alex Delarge. Anak Habib took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fidelio Aldunate, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 68th minute, Francisco Idoate hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 69 minutes into the match, Algarrobo's goal looked a bit too open when Bawang Merah came free, but Kaodilinakachukwu Papacharalabous reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bawang Merah recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. SAPI FC's Zhou Cheng Chen managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Francisco Idoate in the 74 minute of the game. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Algarrobo's goalkeeper Kaodilinakachukwu Papacharalabous, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bawang Merah blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kaodilinakachukwu Papacharalabous having to make a save. Kaodilinakachukwu Papacharalabous came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by SAPI FC's Bawang Merah. But to his dismay, Bawang Merah quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-6.
