The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gregorio Bastian charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gregorio Bastian the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 8 minutes into the match, Monte Hermoso Beach's goal looked a bit too open when Basilio Eufemio came free, but Fidel Lorien reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregorio Bastian in the 13th minute of play forced Parque Europa FC's goalkeeper Ospin Dominguez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Monte Hermoso Beach's Albano Cambranes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ospin Dominguez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luis Galnares might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fidel Lorien. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ospin Dominguez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albano Cambranes, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Roldán Treviño was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 28th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The Parque Europa FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ospin Dominguez should have stopped the shot. Unai Teruel lost his temper 35 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 36th minute, Unai Teruel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lázaro Osasun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 39th minute Albano Cambranes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ospin Dominguez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carmelo Olano's late challenge caught a Monte Hermoso Beach's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carmelo Olano helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Monte Hermoso Beach booed when Parque Europa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carmelo Olano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd minute Gregorio Bastian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ospin Dominguez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Albano Cambranes got free with Ospin Dominguez in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

After 75 minutes, Luis Galnares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Parque Europa FC and the Monte Hermoso Beach players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fabricio Valverde fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fidel Lorien having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Parque Europa FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Monte Hermoso Beach.
