Los Hermanos CIMZ's Genílson Massa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Los Hermanos CIMZ from getting a goal against them. In the 7th match minute, Kjønstad BF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abelardo Odon to maneuver through the defense. Toma Lechev could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Genílson Massa made a huge save. The supporters of Kjønstad BF booed when Los Hermanos CIMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Washington Neiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Kjønstad BF's goal looked a bit too open when Silvinho Britto came free, but Jarle Volden reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 25 minutes Kjønstad BF's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Lucas Dembélé who took care of the corner kick. If Thor Gaarder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Toma Lechev got free with Genílson Massa in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Toma Lechev blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Genílson Massa having to make a save. After 35 minutes of play, Los Hermanos CIMZ's Silvinho Britto made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jarle Volden was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvinho Britto in the 38th minute of play forced Kjønstad BF's goalkeeper Jarle Volden to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Genílson Massa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Toma Lechev in the 39th minute. After some careless play in the Los Hermanos CIMZ defense, Toma Lechev kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Genílson Massa. The Los Hermanos CIMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Genílson Massa should have stopped the shot. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Thor Gaarder to make the kick off. Washington Neiva charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Washington Neiva the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Los Hermanos CIMZ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Pedro Luís Peixoto ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Kjønstad BF's Reidar Nordhaug getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Genílson Massa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reidar Nordhaug, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th minute Reidar Nordhaug shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Genílson Massa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Reidar Nordhaug came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Kjønstad BF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reidar Nordhaug couldn't finish the play. Jarle Volden showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvinho Britto, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute.
