When Fabian Dahlquist fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mansfield Town FC's protests and gave Fabian Dahlquist a yellow card for diving instead. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Georg Söderman showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Heitor Peseiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Garanhão do SUL's zone, Philip Sandwall stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Heitor Peseiro came out of the goal and Philip Sandwall tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Georg Söderman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Roriz, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. With a little luck, Garanhão do SUL's Heitor Peseiro got control of the ball when Philip Sandwall tried to sneak it across the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Albano Leizarraga to strike the kick off in the second half. Heitor Peseiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Philip Sandwall in the 52nd minute of the match. Heitor Peseiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Josef Jespersson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th minute of the match Mansfield Town FC got a corner. Garanhão do SUL's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Michael Gudmundsson put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Heitor Peseiro. Garanhão do SUL made a substitution. António Gama replaced André Roriz. In the 67thth minute of the game Josef Jespersson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Garanhão do SUL's Heitor Peseiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Garanhão do SUL made a substitution. Obafemi Fabiani replaced Albano Leizarraga. 70 minutes into the match, Benigno Jesco notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Mansfield Town FC's Georg Söderman. Georg Söderman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Heitor Peseiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michael Gudmundsson in the 82nd minute of the match. Josef Jespersson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heitor Peseiro having to interfere. Georg Söderman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benigno Jesco in the 85th minute of play. Obafemi Fabiani could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Georg Söderman made a huge save. It was a well-played corner which Benigno Jesco managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Mansfield Town FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
