In the 17th minute of the match, Paulinho Fenomeno tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jan-Aage Eklund saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 19thth minute of the game Paulão Diniz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Flogo FF's Jan-Aage Eklund was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Flogo FF's Jan-Aage Eklund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulão Diniz in the 21st minute of play. Paulinho Fenomeno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paulão Diniz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Flogo FF defense, Paulão Diniz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jan-Aage Eklund. The Flogo FF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jan-Aage Eklund should have stopped the shot. Frode Gulli hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Jan-Aage Eklund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulinho Fenomeno, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. 87 minutes into the match, Flogo FF's goal looked a bit too open when Paulinho Fenomeno came free, but Jan-Aage Eklund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The throw-in from Magne Berre in the 91st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Jabaquara SC's Fábio Arce. If Paulinho Fenomeno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Flogo FF's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
