The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Reine Pettersson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edvaldo Prado in the 5th minute of play. In the 8th minute, Kjell Wennerqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lino Fidensio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 9th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Reine Pettersson. Preator Edikt's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 10 played minutes LOS PERNAMBUCANOS - FDFDF got a freekick which was hit by Rémy Peralta. Giuseppe Silveira struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Reine Pettersson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LOS PERNAMBUCANOS - FDFDF. After 22 minutes, Jens-Ove Ambjörnsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Preator Edikt and the LOS PERNAMBUCANOS - FDFDF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jens-Ove Ambjörnsson kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Rodrigo Ely got a throw-in 30 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Giuseppe Silveira. Reine Pettersson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hudson de Godoi in the 34th minute of play. When Rodrigo Ely fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored LOS PERNAMBUCANOS - FDFDF's protests and gave Rodrigo Ely a yellow card for diving instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jens-Ove Ambjörnsson was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Jens-Ove Ambjörnsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cafu Amaral was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 56 minutes into the game, Hudson de Godoi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Reine Pettersson. Hudson de Godoi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. After 60 minutes of play Preator Edikt's Jens-Ove Ambjörnsson was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of LOS PERNAMBUCANOS - FDFDF booed when Preator Edikt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kim Larsfelt didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67th minute Hudson de Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reine Pettersson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Nils-Erik Sundberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Preator Edikt's supporters rose to their feet, but Nils-Erik Sundberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cafu Amaral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hudson de Godoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Reine Pettersson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 78th minute by Edvaldo Prado got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With a little luck, Preator Edikt's Reine Pettersson got control of the ball when Hudson de Godoi tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 87th minute, Hudson de Godoi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Reine Pettersson was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. LOS PERNAMBUCANOS - FDFDF's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
