Bennis's defense didn't have a chance, in the 15th minute, when Fedele Scirea scored to the left of an out of position Marcus Vase, making the score, 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Set Fire's zone, Cain Velasquez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Delmiro Rosalio came out of the goal and Cain Velasquez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lilian Thuram got a throw-in 19 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Olcay Tezkan. Delmiro Rosalio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cain Velasquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcus Vase made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sasho Amiorkov in the 30th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Cain Velasquez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Delmiro Rosalio was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. In the 36th minute, Jan-Åke Hallgren ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Delmiro Rosalio was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Marcus Vase made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fedele Scirea in the 42nd minute. Delmiro Rosalio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cain Velasquez in the 45th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fedele Scirea to make the kick off. Marcus Vase showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fedele Scirea, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. In the 52nd minute Set Fire were awarded a corner. Wladyslaw Brudzisz went to the cornerflag to take it. Set Fire's Delmiro Rosalio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Set Fire from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Bennis's zone, Fedele Scirea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcus Vase came out of the goal and Fedele Scirea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bennis made a substitution. Per Lundkvist replaced Axel Wassenius. Set Fire's Delmiro Rosalio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Set Fire from getting a goal against them. In the 69th minute Fedele Scirea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Vase saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 71stth minute of the game Fedele Scirea who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bennis's Marcus Vase was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A throw-in in the 75th minute of the game was made by Wladyslaw Brudzisz with Teddy De Hond as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Cain Velasquez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Delmiro Rosalio having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cain Velasquez got free with Delmiro Rosalio in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Delmiro Rosalio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cain Velasquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 88 minutes Set Fire's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Harry Wallgren who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Harry Wallgren almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Set Fire's Delmiro Rosalio did a great save. 89 minutes into the match, Set Fire's goal looked a bit too open when Cain Velasquez came free, but Delmiro Rosalio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 93 minutes into the game, Lilian Thuram was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Set Fire's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bennis the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 93rd minute of the game. One of Set Fire:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Bennis:s goal. Delmiro Rosalio had in the 95thth minute some difficulties stopping Cain Velasquez's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sasho Amiorkov in the 98th minute of play forced Bennis's goalkeeper Marcus Vase to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
