Marcus Vase took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yang Wei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 10 minutes into the match, Bennis's goal looked a bit too open when Xiao Chao Yan came free, but Marcus Vase reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bennis's goalkeeper Marcus Vase, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to FC BaLiSt getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Xiao Chao Yan hit a great ball. Marcus Vase showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yang Wei in the 14th minute of the match. Chi Tzalov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cain Velasquez, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Marcus Vase made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yang Wei in the 22nd minute of play. 24 minutes into the game, Narcis Zgrăbunţa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC BaLiSt's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bennis the free kick. In the 24th match minute, FC BaLiSt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Narcis Zgrăbunţa to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of FC BaLiSt booed when Bennis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl-Johan Hammarström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcus Vase dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Chi Tzalov didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cain Velasquez went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 46th match minute, FC BaLiSt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by George Terzian to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

In the 51st minute, Yang Wei ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcus Vase was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Marcus Vase showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorin Stroici in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 55th minute, Xiao Chao Yan reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marcus Vase. The goal made the score 2-3. In the 60th minute FC BaLiSt were awarded a corner. Ionel Manafu went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Niculae Târcă managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 66th minute, Cain Velasquez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Chi Tzalov was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. FC BaLiSt's Octavian Paulescu was substituted for Niculae Târcă. Marcus Vase showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yang Wei, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Harry Wallgren struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Chi Tzalov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bennis. Emil Harhoiu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Marcus Vase made a huge save. After some careless play in the FC BaLiSt defense, Cain Velasquez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Chi Tzalov. The FC BaLiSt fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Chi Tzalov should have stopped the shot. The Bennis players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
