Nestor Berger came out of the goal in the 2nd minute to try and stop a shot by The Sharks Constanta's Artur Prohorov. But to his dismay, Artur Prohorov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in America Futebol Clube SP's zone, Juliusz J.J. stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nestor Berger came out of the goal and Juliusz J.J. tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Juliusz J.J. took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nestor Berger. Nestor Berger dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After 17 minutes, Durvalino Prata mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the America Futebol Clube SP and the The Sharks Constanta players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, America Futebol Clube SP's Durvalino Prata got a free kick in the 17th minute. Artur Prohorov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor Berger having to interfere. Călin Calini might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nestor Berger. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Călin Calini ran back to his position shaking his head. 25 minutes into the match, America Futebol Clube SP's goal looked a bit too open when Artur Prohorov came free, but Nestor Berger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 27 minutes, Rony Neiva mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the America Futebol Clube SP and the The Sharks Constanta players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 27th minute, Rony Neiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juliusz J.J. in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nestor Berger saved America Futebol Clube SP from getting behind. Nestor Berger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Artur Prohorov, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Nestor Berger stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Juliusz J.J.'s shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Călin Calini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Nestor Berger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 38 minutes of play, The Sharks Constanta's Juliusz J.J. made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nestor Berger was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Artur Prohorov in the 42nd minute of play forced America Futebol Clube SP's goalkeeper Nestor Berger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Călin Calini struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Nestor Berger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Sharks Constanta. 45 minutes into the match, America Futebol Clube SP's goal looked a bit too open when Juliusz J.J. came free, but Nestor Berger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half The Sharks Constanta were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 60th minute, one of The Sharks Constanta:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for The Sharks Constanta. 60 minutes into the match, Renatinho de Castro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Helmuth Duckadam. The Sharks Constanta's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Renatinho de Castro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. In the 63rd minute, Juliusz J.J. left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The The Sharks Constanta fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Nestor Berger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Călin Calini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. America Futebol Clube SP's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Artur Prohorov 74 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-6. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-7 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Nestor Berger had great luck who in the 85thth minute grab hold of the ball when Juliusz J.J. from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 86thth minute of the game Artur Prohorov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but America Futebol Clube SP's Nestor Berger was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Juliusz J.J. in the 89thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nestor Berger, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. During the 89th minute of the match Nilton Sanches completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Nilton Sanches a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to America Futebol Clube SP getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Nilton Sanches hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, The Sharks Constanta's Călin Calini got a free kick in the 91st minute. Manos Tochouroglou made in the 93rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Călin Calini however managed to control. Nestor Berger stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Juliusz J.J.'s shot from short distance in the 96th minute. After a rather tough play, America Futebol Clube SP's Rony Neiva got a free kick in the 96th minute. The Sharks Constanta played a much better game than America Futebol Clube SP and deserved their victory. The America Futebol Clube SP players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
