An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Paulo Albuquerque in the 4th minute of play forced Les Tigres's goalkeeper Martin Ostadar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gonçalo de Amorim made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Rigoberto Iratze sent off a good shot on target. 7 minutes into the match, Rigoberto Iratze had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gonçalo de Amorim. America Futebol Clube SP's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rigoberto Iratze was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 10th match minute, America Futebol Clube SP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agostinho Rossi to maneuver through the defense. America Futebol Clube SP's Gonçalo de Amorim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save America Futebol Clube SP from getting a goal against them. Gonçalo de Amorim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rigoberto Iratze in the 13th minute. Edson Mendonça recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Martin Ostadar came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by America Futebol Clube SP's Luiz Paulo Albuquerque. But to his dismay, Luiz Paulo Albuquerque quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Gonçalo de Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Steven in the 34th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Victor Steven's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gonçalo de Amorim was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. The supporters of Les Tigres booed when America Futebol Clube SP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Durvalino Prata didn't get a good kick on the ball. Romulo Lizar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gonçalo de Amorim having to make a save. Gonçalo de Amorim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rigoberto Iratze in the 42nd minute. Rigoberto Iratze's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 42ndth minute, Gonçalo de Amorim skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Gonçalo de Amorim didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Les Tigres's Rigoberto Iratze shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-1 in the ordered_time% minute. After 45 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Les Tigres! Martin Ostadar had in the 46thth minute some difficulties stopping Luiz Paulo Albuquerque's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Luiz Paulo Albuquerque took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Martin Ostadar. Martin Ostadar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rigoberto Iratze was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Les Tigres's Rigoberto Iratze got a free kick in the 51st minute. Edson Mendonças short, quick shot in the 53rdth minute got Martin Ostadar to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Martin Ostadar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renatinho de Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luiz Paulo Albuquerque kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Gonçalo de Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Steven in the 65th minute of play. A hard shot 67 in the game by Edson Mendonça from a close distance when the talented Martin Ostadar managed to make a qualified save. Les Tigres's players were relieved. 73 minutes into the match, America Futebol Clube SP's goal looked a bit too open when Rigoberto Iratze came free, but Gonçalo de Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Paulino Orixe in the 74th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by America Futebol Clube SP's Rony Neiva. The supporters of America Futebol Clube SP booed when Les Tigres was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Iratze didn't get a good kick on the ball. Martin Ostadar was out of position in the 77 minute of play, and Luiz Paulo Albuquerque capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Luiz Paulo Albuquerque really showed his touch with that goal: 2-4. Edson Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 83 played minutes Les Tigres got a freekick which was hit by Victor Steven. Gonçalo de Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rigoberto Iratze in the 88th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rigoberto Iratze in the 95th minute of play forced America Futebol Clube SP's goalkeeper Gonçalo de Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. America Futebol Clube SP's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
