With a little luck, Les Tigres's Martin Ostadar got control of the ball when Victor Piţurcă tried to sneak it across the goal line. Victor Piţurcă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Ostadar having to interfere. Martin Ostadar was out of position in the 10 minute of play, and Victor Piţurcă capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Victor Piţurcă really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. 14 minutes into the match, Emerald's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Steven came free, but Bogdan Lobonț reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 15 minutes, Victor Piţurcă made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Les Tigres's Martin Ostadar tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Emerald's Damian Furlit managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Paulino Orixe in the 18 minute of the game. With a little luck, Les Tigres's Martin Ostadar got control of the ball when Victor Piţurcă tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Victor Piţurcă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Martin Ostadar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Piţurcă, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 24th minute Victor Piţurcă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Ostadar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Victor Piţurcă might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Martin Ostadar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Victor Piţurcă ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Les Tigres's goalkeeper Martin Ostadar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 46th minute, Victor Piţurcă got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Martin Ostadar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Piţurcă in the 46th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rigoberto Iratze to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Rigoberto Iratze fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Martin Ostadar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Piţurcă in the 55th minute of play. Emerald's Damian Furlit pulled a muscle in his back after 56 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rigoberto Iratze during the 56th minute. After some careless play in the Les Tigres defense, Victor Piţurcă kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Martin Ostadar. The Les Tigres fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Martin Ostadar should have stopped the shot. 61 minutes into the game, Victor Piţurcă cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Martin Ostadar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 66 minutes into the game, Emerald's Victor Piţurcă nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Martin Ostadar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. When the match clock showed 71 minutes, the score became 8-0 when Victor Piţurcă sped through Les Tigres's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Martin Ostadar. 74 minutes into the match, Victor Piţurcă notched a goal, 9-0, to the right of Les Tigres's Martin Ostadar. Martin Ostadar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 77 minutes into the match, Emerald's Victor Piţurcă sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Martin Ostadar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Victor Piţurcă in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Martin Ostadar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Les Tigres booed when Emerald was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Vermeşan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 91st minute Victor Piţurcă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Ostadar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Emerald's Gabriel Vermeşan in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Les Tigres's goalie prevented a goal. Emerald's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
