But to his dismay, Victor Piţurcă quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 15 minutes into the match, Emerald's Gabriel Vermeşan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lars Teglbrænder narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 20th match minute, FC Cvikovo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vladimír Šlesinger to maneuver through the defense. When Victor Piţurcă came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Emerald fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victor Piţurcă couldn't finish the play. The shot was a little too simple and Bogdan Lobonț could save by the left post. 36 minutes into the game, Victor Piţurcă cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Lars Teglbrænder was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Koloman Šoukal in the 40th minute of play forced Emerald's goalkeeper Bogdan Lobonț to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lars Teglbrænder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Piţurcă in the 56th minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Emerald had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
