A collision led to America Futebol Clube SP getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Luiz Paulo Albuquerque hit a great ball. In the 40th minute, Rony Neiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was beautiful to see Les Tigres's Romulo Lizar in action when he in the 42nd minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance!

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rigoberto Iratze was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice moves Rigoberto Iratze could shoot a difficult shot in the 83rd minute, which Gonçalo de Amorim however easily saved by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rigoberto Iratze got free with Gonçalo de Amorim in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
