Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Wilhelm Cane kicked off to start the match. Hermanö Oilers's Wilhelm Cane got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sílvio Assunção received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Sonny Åkesson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 12th minute Orvar Stenquist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Valério saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jorge Valério came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Hermanö Oilers's Orvar Stenquist. But to his dismay, Orvar Stenquist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Sonny Åkesson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reinaldo Calado, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 17th minute, Sílvio Assunção got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Wilhelm Cane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Humberto Mascarenhas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 27 minutes had been played when some careless play by Hermanö Oilers's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cristóvão Caetano was slow to take the kick. During this time Ponte do Carro's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Cristóvão Caetano almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Hermanö Oilers's Sonny Åkesson did a great save. After 32 played minutes Hermanö Oilers got a freekick which was hit by Sten Stål. 34 minutes into the match, Ponte do Carro's goal looked a bit too open when Wilhelm Cane came free, but Jorge Valério reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 35 played minutes Ponte do Carro got a freekick which was hit by Sílvio Assunção. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Wilhelm Cane managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hermanö Oilers's supporters rose to their feet, but Wilhelm Cane was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorge Valério breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Hermanö Oilers getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Patrik Holmberg hit a great ball. Filipe Poças sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Reinaldo Calado to strike the kick off in the second half. Sonny Åkesson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Altino Guerreiro in the 52nd minute of play. Filipe Poças fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sonny Åkesson having to interfere. In the 66th minute Orvar Stenquist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Valério saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Altino Guerreiro in the 70th minute of play forced Hermanö Oilers's goalkeeper Sonny Åkesson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hermanö Oilers's Sonny Åkesson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reinaldo Calado in the 79th minute of play. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Ponte do Carro's goalkeeper Jorge Valério, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jorge Valério came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Hermanö Oilers's Orvar Stenquist. But to his dismay, Orvar Stenquist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Hermanö Oilers's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
