When Caio Peres fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's protests and gave Caio Peres a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Caio Peres hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, AtAnAkAs F.C FSCMZ's Luís Maia threw himself towards the right post 9 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Valdo de Toledo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. AtAnAkAs F.C FSCMZ were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rafa de Brito took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Kauan Pitta managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. 12 minutes into the game, Elder Guedes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AtAnAkAs F.C FSCMZ the free kick. After 12 played minutes PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ got a freekick which was hit by Elder Guedes. In the 19th minute, Gilson Saldanha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gláuber de Queirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Fabiano Esteves in the 24th minute of play. Oscar Rezende kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Dedê Aguiar kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Luís Maia had great luck who in the 32ndth minute grab hold of the ball when Valdo de Toledo from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. AtAnAkAs F.C FSCMZ were awarded a corner in the 34th minute after PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rafa de Brito took the corner. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Ramón Rosa got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 1-0. 34 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, AtAnAkAs F.C FSCMZ's Oscar Rezende got a free kick in the 39th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tiaguinho Santana to make the kick off. When Valdo de Toledo came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the AtAnAkAs F.C FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valdo de Toledo couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dudu Fernandes got free with Gláuber de Queirós in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Valdo de Toledo struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Luís Maia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AtAnAkAs F.C FSCMZ. PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's Luís Maia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdo de Toledo in the 70th minute of play. Dedê Aguiar might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luís Maia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dedê Aguiar ran back to his position shaking his head. If Valdo de Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Elder Guedes was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 81 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danilo Bastos in the 83rd minute of play forced PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's goalkeeper Luís Maia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee ended the match the AtAnAkAs F.C FSCMZ players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
