Nacional's Mateo Antoni managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Andres Sidoro in the 2 minute of the game. Farid Mondragón showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonzalo Carneiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 15th minute Ben Chepchumba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Araya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erubiel Egun could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Hugo Araya made a huge save. 24 minutes into the game, Federico Muno was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MILAN COLOMBIANO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nacional the free kick. Federico Muno hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. MILAN COLOMBIANO's Farid Mondragón played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonzalo Carneiro in the 25th minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Nacional's Gonzalo Carneiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Farid Mondragón narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Farid Mondragón came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Nacional's Gonzalo Carneiro. But to his dismay, Gonzalo Carneiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Farid Mondragón took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gonzalo Carneiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 48 minutes MILAN COLOMBIANO's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Maurinho Arruda who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Maurinho Arruda almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but MILAN COLOMBIANO's Farid Mondragón did a great save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Erubiel Egun to make the kick off. MILAN COLOMBIANO's Farid Mondragón played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonzalo Carneiro in the 52nd minute of play. Gonzalo Carneiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Farid Mondragón. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gonzalo Carneiro ran back to his position shaking his head. Farid Mondragón took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gonzalo Carneiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Farid Mondragón stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gonzalo Carneiro's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erubiel Egun in the 61st minute of play forced Nacional's goalkeeper Hugo Araya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gonzalo Carneiro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 64thth minute tested the skills of Farid Mondragón when he managed to save the team from getting behind. MILAN COLOMBIANO's Cecilio Gaztea was substituted for Jairo Indar. MILAN COLOMBIANO made a substitution. Abel Mirande replaced Ben Chepchumba. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonzalo Carneiro in the 70th minute of play forced MILAN COLOMBIANO's goalkeeper Farid Mondragón to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Mikel Bascones fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nacional's protests and gave Mikel Bascones a yellow card for diving instead. Mikel Bascones hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. In the 80th minute Gonzalo Carneiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Farid Mondragón saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cecilio Gaztea hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Farid Mondragón showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gonzalo Carneiro in the 83rd minute of the match. Federico Muno got a throw-in 85 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Abel Mirande. Gonzalo Carneiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Farid Mondragón read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Andres Sidoro tried in the 88th minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Farid Mondragón a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 0-3. After 91 played minutes MILAN COLOMBIANO got a freekick which was hit by Marcelo Costas. A collision led to MILAN COLOMBIANO getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Marcelo Costas hit a great ball. In the 93rd minute, Gonzalo Carneiro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Farid Mondragón. The goal made the score 0-4. The MILAN COLOMBIANO supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Nacional's performance. The match ended with a win for Nacional.
