After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Gonzalo Carneiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nacional's supporters rose to their feet, but Gonzalo Carneiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Krisztián Bodonyi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nacional's Hugo Araya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sándor Szuper in the 5th minute of play. Mátyás Török sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gonzalo Carneiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Krisztián Bodonyi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, SÉ SE's goal looked a bit too open when Gonzalo Carneiro came free, but Krisztián Bodonyi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gonzalo Carneiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 28 minutes into the match, SÉ SE's goalkeeper Krisztián Bodonyi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gonzalo Carneiro. Joey Real hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Hugo Araya came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by SÉ SE's Miklós Solti. But to his dismay, Miklós Solti quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Gonzalo Carneiro scored 2-1 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Krisztián Bodonyi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nacional's Gonzalo Carneiro got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. SÉ SE's Krisztián Bodonyi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save SÉ SE from getting a goal against them. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gonzalo Carneiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, SÉ SE's goal looked a bit too open when Gonzalo Carneiro came free, but Krisztián Bodonyi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, Nacional's Gonzalo Carneiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Krisztián Bodonyi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 62 minutes had been played when some careless play by SÉ SE's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Maurinho Arruda was slow to take the kick. During this time Nacional's players had a chance to rest. Nacional's Maurinho Arruda was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Krisztián Bodonyi in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Gonzalo Carneiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Krisztián Bodonyi having to make a save. 67 minutes into the match, SÉ SE's goal looked a bit too open when Gonzalo Carneiro came free, but Krisztián Bodonyi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Gonzalo Carneiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Nacional's Gonzalo Carneiro in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SÉ SE's goalie prevented a goal. Hugo Araya took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrik Kádár, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Gonzalo Carneiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonzalo Carneiro in the 82nd minute of play forced SÉ SE's goalkeeper Krisztián Bodonyi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Krisztián Bodonyi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonzalo Carneiro in the 83rd minute of play. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind SÉ SE's goalkeeper Krisztián Bodonyi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the SÉ SE defense, Gonzalo Carneiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Krisztián Bodonyi. The SÉ SE fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Krisztián Bodonyi should have stopped the shot. Gonzalo Carneiro struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Krisztián Bodonyi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nacional. Gonzalo Carneiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 94 minutes into the match, SÉ SE's goal looked a bit too open when Gonzalo Carneiro came free, but Krisztián Bodonyi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 95 played minutes SÉ SE got a freekick which was hit by László Pálinkás. Krisztián Bodonyi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonzalo Carneiro in the 96th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Nacional fans cheered their team off the field, for while SÉ SE had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
