The Pangarés FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Afonso Damião should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Edmundo Paraense managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pangarés FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Edmundo Paraense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Farid Mondragón breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. João Dias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Farid Mondragón having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dorival Pires during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Afonso Damião took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erubiel Egun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 28 minutes Pangarés FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Florentino Hechter who took care of the corner kick. A very nice done corner allowed Claudi Echeverri to score against Afonso Damião in Pangarés FC's goal. 3-0 after 28 minutes. Erubiel Egun did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 4-0 to the left of a surprised Afonso Damião 34 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erubiel Egun in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Afonso Damião prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 39 minutes into the match, Pangarés FC's goalkeeper Afonso Damião had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Erubiel Egun. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erubiel Egun in the 44th minute of play forced Pangarés FC's goalkeeper Afonso Damião to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Pangarés FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 45th minute. Penalty! Pangarés FC:s Afonso Damião showed great skill when he stopped Florentino Hechter:s penalty. After some careless play in the Pangarés FC defense, Florentino Hechter kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Afonso Damião. The Pangarés FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Afonso Damião should have stopped the shot. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. João Dias was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Pangarés FC's goalkeeper Afonso Damião, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cecilio Gaztea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Damião having to interfere. After 93 minutes, Ariel Tiadoro made it 10-0 with a short kick to the right side. Pangarés FC's Afonso Damião tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Cecilio Gaztea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
