Halit Fahri Subutay was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 88 minutes into the match. Mustafa Hakan Topel had in the 90thth minute some difficulties stopping Roy Johnsson's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. If Jan-Erik Tunberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When German Cibran fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Polly Magoo Juniors's protests and gave German Cibran a yellow card for diving instead. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
