The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to VfL Bad Nenndorf getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Clemens Frühauf hit a great ball. After 4 minutes VfL Bad Nenndorf's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Faustino Avellaneda who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Madison's corner Faustino Avellaneda fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Remo Borges quite easily take care of the ball. Timo Geyer struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Severiano Rafe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for VfL Bad Nenndorf. In the 14th minute, Benito Naldo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Madison fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Peter Berosch struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Severiano Rafe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for VfL Bad Nenndorf. Severiano Rafe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Timo Geyer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Madison's zone, Peter Berosch stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Severiano Rafe came out of the goal and Peter Berosch tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Madison's Severiano Rafe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simon Böck in the 28th minute of play. Humberto Eliu took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Remo Borges. Remo Borges dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Severiano Rafe made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Boubacar Otabo sent off a good shot on target. After 46 played minutes Madison got a freekick which was hit by Humberto Eliu. After a rather tough play, VfL Bad Nenndorf's Lou Harnack got a free kick in the 47th minute. The VfL Bad Nenndorf players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Madison were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Boubacar Otabo made a kick off. A collision led to Madison getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Benito Naldo hit a great ball. Remo Borges made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benito Naldo in the 59th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Boubacar Otabo managed to get in a good position for a shot. VfL Bad Nenndorf's supporters rose to their feet, but Boubacar Otabo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Severiano Rafe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Madison's Nunez Guillelmus was substituted for Faustino Avellaneda. After a defensive mix-up in Madison's zone, Boubacar Otabo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Severiano Rafe came out of the goal and Boubacar Otabo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Severiano Rafe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timo Geyer, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. After a rather tough play, Madison's Hernan Uzuri got a free kick in the 69th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Timo Geyer in the 75th minute of play forced Madison's goalkeeper Severiano Rafe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Remo Borges stood somewhat misplaced when Hernan Uzuri came free in front of goal and shot 0-3 to the left of him in the 77 minute. With a little luck, VfL Bad Nenndorf's Remo Borges got control of the ball when Silvano Polentzi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Severiano Rafe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Timo Geyer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 90 minutes into the match, Madison's goal looked a bit too open when Lou Harnack came free, but Severiano Rafe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Severiano Rafe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boubacar Otabo, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The Madison players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
