The referee showed Ulisses Siqueira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 18th match minute, SE Tijolo 6 Furos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulisses Siqueira to maneuver through the defense. Luís Eduardo dos Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto George having to interfere. Bonifacio Oliverio's late challenge caught a SE Tijolo 6 Furos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The supporters of Sporting de Gijón booed when SE Tijolo 6 Furos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zico Goiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mauro Perez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Luís Eduardo dos Santos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The SE Tijolo 6 Furos players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
