Benigno Eriz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Remo Borges tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fausto George showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boubacar Otabo in the 26th minute of the match. Mauro Perez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Remo Borges made a huge save. Benigno Eriz spun around in front of the goal 35 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of VfL Bad Nenndorf's goal. Timo Geyer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto George having to interfere. Boubacar Otabo took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fausto George. Fausto George dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. With a little luck, VfL Bad Nenndorf's Remo Borges got control of the ball when Benigno Eriz tried to sneak it across the goal line.

Sporting de Gijón's Timoteo Eguntsenti was substituted for Benigno Eriz. 56 minutes into the game, VfL Bad Nenndorf's Peter Berosch nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fausto George made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Peter Berosch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Sporting de Gijón getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Bob Dylan hit a great ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 94th minute of the game. One of VfL Bad Nenndorf:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sporting de Gijón:s goal. The referee gave Sporting de Gijón a penalty, 95 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Mauro Perez, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of VfL Bad Nenndorf's Remo Borges. 1-2. Marcos-Alberto Rojo's late challenge caught a VfL Bad Nenndorf's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcos-Alberto Rojo helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Sporting de Gijón getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Marcos-Alberto Rojo hit a great ball. The Sporting de Gijón fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. VfL Bad Nenndorf were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
