Hristo Botev might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Victorino Diaz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hristo Botev ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 5th match minute, Ψ virgen Ψ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baldomero Lobo to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Ψ virgen Ψ's Abelardo Pes got a free kick in the 6th minute. Victorino Diaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hristo Botev in the 10th minute of play. A collision led to Ψ virgen Ψ getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Baldomero Lobo hit a great ball. Peeter Bonetti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauricio Tolino in the 18th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ψ virgen Ψ's Fausto Gonzales got a free kick in the 21st minute. Hristo Botev took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Victorino Diaz. Victorino Diaz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. When the match clock showed 25 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Hristo Botev sped through Ψ virgen Ψ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Victorino Diaz. FC Dundee's Valdo Orumets quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Pablo Sayvion, made in the 28th minute of the game. The audience was convinced that Hristo Botev's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Victorino Diaz was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Baldomero Lobo scored 1-2 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Peeter Bonetti, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When FC Dundee's Hristo Botev in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ψ virgen Ψ's goalie prevented a goal. FC Dundee's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Martin Mendoza in the 41st minute. The corner ended in Martin Mendoza almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ψ virgen Ψ's Victorino Diaz did a great save. In the 43rd minute, Abelardo Pes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hristo Botev in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Victorino Diaz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Ψ virgen Ψ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Dundee were winning 1-2.

After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Hristo Botev managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peeter Bonetti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baldomero Lobo, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. 70 minutes into the match, FC Dundee's Heiki Aabloo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Victorino Diaz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 71 minutes, Baldomero Lobo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ψ virgen Ψ and the FC Dundee players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alex Mägi struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Victorino Diaz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Dundee. 91 minutes into the match, Ψ virgen Ψ's goalkeeper Victorino Diaz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hristo Botev. Victorino Diaz stood somewhat misplaced when Hristo Botev came free in front of goal and shot 1-5 to the left of him in the 95 minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FC Dundee eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
