Fanis Bakosis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Luis Dittborn in the 4th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Inter de Chillán's Rogerio Berecedo got a free kick in the 8th minute. The corner led Inter de Chillán's Arnaldo Detmer to fire away a dangerous shot which Fanis Bakosis despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a rather tough play, Tiburones Rojos's Esteve Dimas got a free kick in the 24th minute. Arnaldo Detmer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 26th minute, Giuseppe Meazza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Inter de Chillán fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Fanis Bakosis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steve Vaid in the 28th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Inter de Chillán's Juan Luis Dittborn sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fanis Bakosis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fanis Bakosis came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Inter de Chillán's Steve Vaid. But to his dismay, Steve Vaid quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Fanis Bakosis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giuseppe Meazza in the 43rd minute of the match. 43 minutes into the match, Tiburones Rojos's goal looked a bit too open when Giuseppe Meazza came free, but Fanis Bakosis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rosendo Argi in the 44th minute of play forced Inter de Chillán's goalkeeper José Ignacio Rocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giuseppe Meazza in the 46th minute of play forced Tiburones Rojos's goalkeeper Fanis Bakosis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

In the 50th minute, Giuseppe Meazza fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Fanis Bakosis, passed just outside the right post. Juan Luis Dittborn scored 0-5 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fanis Bakosis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Fanis Bakosis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Juan Luis Dittborn in the 58th minute. Fanis Bakosis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giuseppe Meazza in the 60th minute of play. Juan Luis Dittborn struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Fanis Bakosis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Inter de Chillán. In the 73rd match minute, Inter de Chillán was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcel Wassermayer to maneuver through the defense. In the 76th minute Javier Casas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fanis Bakosis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute Rosendo Argi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Ignacio Rocha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fanis Bakosis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Valdivia in the 79th minute of play. Rogerio Berecedo hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Tiburones Rojos's Teofilo Venceslao was substituted for Sixto Tristan. Tiburones Rojos's Feliberto Argina was substituted for Albano Luke. Thanks to some nice moves Jorge Valdivia could shoot a difficult shot in the 90th minute, which Fanis Bakosis however easily saved by the left post. Tiburones Rojos's Fanis Bakosis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Tiburones Rojos from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jorge Valdivia got free with Fanis Bakosis in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fanis Bakosis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jorge Valdivia in the 94th minute.
