The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Varban Netzov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Elias Freire received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Oleg Ubinov came out and tried to block the shot, but Elias Freire slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 5th minute. Guilherme Arana had several of the FC CSKA's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 9 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Oleg Ubinov as he didn't even see the shot coming. Oleg Ubinov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 吕震强, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. 16 minutes into the match, 吕震强 had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Oleg Ubinov. FC CSKA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that 吕震强 was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. After having played for 19 minutes, Angel Trenchev managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC CSKA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Angel Trenchev was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Juninho Freire showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Varban Netzov in the 20th minute of the match. A collision led to Motta Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Marcinho Paes hit a great ball. With a little luck, FC CSKA's Oleg Ubinov got control of the ball when Elias Freire tried to sneak it across the goal line. Juninho Freire stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yancho Dzhongarski's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Elias Freire notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of FC CSKA's Oleg Ubinov. Oleg Ubinov was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Oleg Ubinov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 吕震强 in the 35th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Elias Freire made a precise shot to the right of Oleg Ubinov. FC CSKA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Yancho Dzhongarski to strike the kick off in the second half. Oleg Ubinov came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Motta Futebol Clube's Zeca Esteves. But to his dismay, Zeca Esteves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Yancho Dzhongarski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Juninho Freire tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Motta Futebol Clube's Juninho Freire played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yancho Dzhongarski in the 58th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Motta Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Varban Netzov came free, but Juninho Freire reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61st minute, Patrick Costa made a precise shot to the right of Oleg Ubinov. FC CSKA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. After 63 played minutes Motta Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Elias Freire. Oleg Ubinov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elias Freire, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 73 minutes into the match, 吕震强 had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Oleg Ubinov. FC CSKA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that 吕震强 was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. Motta Futebol Clube's Chicão Guerra was substituted for Zeca Esteves. In the 78th minute 吕震强 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oleg Ubinov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elias Freire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elias Freire hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Vlado Manchev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Juninho Freire tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91stth minute of the game Varban Netzov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Motta Futebol Clube's Juninho Freire was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Elias Freire kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. A collision led to FC CSKA getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Mincho Búlgarov hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Motta Futebol Clube's Elias Freire tried to score from far away in the 94th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar.
