Marino Sadin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Manúel Bento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucho Pérez in the 20th minute of the match. Marino Sadin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oliverios Marcilla in the 26th minute of play. Colo-Colo's Marino Sadin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oliverios Marcilla in the 31st minute of play. The supporters of Dogelo booed when Colo-Colo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bermejo Pretot didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Colo-Colo defense, Ahmet Danış Garipbaş kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marino Sadin. The Colo-Colo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marino Sadin should have stopped the shot. 44 minutes into the game, Bermejo Pretot was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Manolito Neira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marino Sadin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Danış Garipbaş in the 55th minute of play. Oliverios Marcilla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Colo-Colo's Marino Sadin got control of the ball when Oliverios Marcilla tried to sneak it across the goal line. Manúel Bento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexis Ardizzoni in the 57th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Oliverios Marcilla took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Marino Sadin to make any attempt to save it. 74 minutes into the match, Kristóf Földes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marino Sadin. Colo-Colo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kristóf Földes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Colo-Colo made a substitution. José Maria Baquero replaced Miguel Riffo. Colo-Colo's Florentino Manterola was substituted for Marcos Francisco Aguayo. Lico Catarinense kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the match, Alexis Ardizzoni notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of Dogelo's Manúel Bento.
