Tostão van Beek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Georg Vallin having to interfere. 11 minutes into the game, Roy Bennet lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Manu Rosseels. Manu Rosseels took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roy Bennet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Georg Vallin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ken Goffeyn, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Beek City's Frits De Bruyn got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Georg Vallin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilian Ramps in the 25th minute of play. In the 50th match minute, Protegéerna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bo-Erik Springfält to maneuver through the defense. 52 minutes into the match, Protegéerna's goal looked a bit too open when Gilian Ramps came free, but Georg Vallin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by Protegéerna's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Matthias Claes was slow to take the kick. During this time Beek City's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Matthias Claes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Georg Vallin quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Georg Vallin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ken Goffeyn, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Georg Vallin was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tostão van Beek showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 59 minute of play. Matthias Claes ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Beek City's Frits De Bruyn getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Manu Rosseels made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roy Gallberg in the 94th minute of play.
