An unexpectedly hard shot by Theofilos Touboulis in the 5th minute of play forced FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s goalkeeper Călin Izvoranu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 5 played minutes FC PIETROSUL -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Marius Turcu. 10 minutes into the match, Olympiacos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vasile Hâncu came free, but Anastasios Perakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s Călin Izvoranu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Panos Ntountas in the 12th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Xosé Lim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Călin Izvoranu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Theofilos Touboulis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Giorgos Soufleris fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Olympiacos FC's protests and gave Giorgos Soufleris a yellow card for diving instead. In the 17th minute, Giorgos Soufleris hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th minute of the match, Marius Turcu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Anastasios Perakis saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 18 minutes into the game, Fotis Nousias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Olympiacos FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC PIETROSUL -MM- the free kick. Fotis Nousias hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. The supporters of FC PIETROSUL -MM- booed when Olympiacos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giorgos Soufleris didn't get a good kick on the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Olympiacos FC's goalkeeper Anastasios Perakis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dorin Busuioceanu. Anastasios Perakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dorin Busuioceanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. The supporters of FC PIETROSUL -MM- booed when Olympiacos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nikiforos Valaoras didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anastasios Perakis didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 46th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Călin Izvoranu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Xosé Lim in the 53rd minute. Octav Martinaș hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Anastasios Perakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marius Turcu in the 58th minute of play. With a little luck, FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s Călin Izvoranu got control of the ball when Xosé Lim tried to sneak it across the goal line. Theofilos Touboulis struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Călin Izvoranu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Olympiacos FC. When Xosé Lim came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Olympiacos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xosé Lim couldn't finish the play. Olympiacos FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
