After 4 minutes of play, Caaguazu's Arlo Albiz made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ergün Gazzali was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Los Patanes's Dante Maties got a free kick in the 8th minute. When Florin Panțâru fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Los Patanes's protests and gave Florin Panțâru a yellow card for diving instead. After 10 played minutes Los Patanes got a freekick which was hit by Florin Panțâru. Arlo Albiz took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ergün Gazzali. Ergün Gazzali dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 19th minute, Los Patanes's Generoso Gorosti seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Generoso Gorosti the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Los Patanes protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Generoso Gorosti had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 19th minute of the game. One of Los Patanes:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Caaguazu:s goal. Conrado Faron scored 0-3 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ergün Gazzali, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Los Patanes's Ergün Gazzali played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arlo Albiz in the 24th minute of play. Ergün Gazzali showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reyes Barcenilla in the 26th minute of the match. A collision led to Los Patanes getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Alfredo Tulio hit a great ball. In the 30th minute of the match Malvin Vidaurre shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ergün Gazzali showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 32nd minute, Dante Maties hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 33rd minute, Arlo Albiz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Caaguazu fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Ergün Gazzali showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilesindo Tarapiella in the 40th minute of the match. The supporters of Caaguazu booed when Los Patanes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serafino Lehior didn't get a good kick on the ball. Malvin Vidaurre was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 42nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 43rd minute Conrado Faron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ergün Gazzali saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Caaguazu made a substitution. Blai Arismendi replaced Pankracy Kasiewski. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Conrado Faron to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Los Patanes's goal looked a bit too open when Conrado Faron came free, but Ergün Gazzali reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Conrado Faron's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ergün Gazzali was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. Gilesindo Tarapiella could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Ergün Gazzali made a huge save. 61 minutes into the match, Conrado Faron dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ergün Gazzali, 0-5. Arlo Albiz let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 64th minute shot 0-6 at rihgt post. Caaguazu's Arlo Albiz was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 67th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Ergün Gazzali made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Arlo Albiz sent off a good shot on target. Serafino Lehior's late challenge caught a Caaguazu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Serafino Lehior helped the player get up and apologised. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Conrado Faron in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ergün Gazzali saved Los Patanes from getting behind. Vincente Monzon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dante Maties in the 76th minute of play. Dante Maties charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dante Maties the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dante Maties hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Arlo Albiz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 78thth minute tested the skills of Ergün Gazzali when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Gavino Cresconio hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. In the 83rdth minute of the game Conrado Faron who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los Patanes's Ergün Gazzali was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Conrado Faron was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 84th minute. Caaguazu's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Arlo Albiz came free with the goalkeeper in the 87th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ergün Gazzali could save by the left post. Baldomero Vellon hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. 92 minutes into the game, one of Caaguazu:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Caaguazu:s Vincente Monzon showed great skill when he stopped Serafino Lehior:s penalty. Caaguazu's Vincente Monzon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florin Panțâru in the 95th minute of play. The Los Patanes supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Caaguazu's performance. The match ended with a win for Caaguazu.
