In the 6th minute, Candido Platon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 7th minute Candido Platon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdemar Granberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valdemar Granberg was out of position in the 9 minute of play, and Cesar Lauren capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cesar Lauren really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Itacaruaré FC's Gilberto Dacio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Urban Lundqvist in the 12th minute of play. Gilberto Dacio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Johnny Joensson went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Itacaruaré FC's zone, Jens-Erik Biörk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilberto Dacio came out of the goal and Jens-Erik Biörk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Charlie Petersson charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Charlie Petersson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Charlie Petersson kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Valdemar Granberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jesus Peio went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Valdemar Granberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesar Lauren, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Candido Platon in the 33rd minute of play forced Honung's goalkeeper Valdemar Granberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valdemar Granberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cesar Lauren's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Gilberto Dacio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patric Ambjörnsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Jesus Peio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Valdemar Granberg made a huge save. After 44 minutes, Johnny Joensson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Honung and the Itacaruaré FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Honung's Johnny Joensson got a free kick in the 44th minute. Valdemar Granberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Candido Platon in the 47th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jesus Peio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Honung getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Greger Brenner hit a great ball. The supporters of Honung booed when Itacaruaré FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Enaut didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Honung's Jan Rein Cremona Barbaro got a free kick in the 55th minute. After 59 played minutes Honung got a freekick which was hit by Jens-Erik Biörk. The referee felt a red card was in order, 62 minutes into the game, when Erasmo Pudes put in a rough tackle. After 61 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Itacaruaré FC! Gilberto Dacio came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Honung's Sven-Erik Palmquist. But to his dismay, Sven-Erik Palmquist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. In the 73rd minute, Patricio Enaut left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Itacaruaré FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. Valdemar Granberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 94th minute, Cesar Lauren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There was no doubt that Itacaruaré FC were the better team. Itacaruaré FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
