In the 8th minute, Dário Martins ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Horacio Heriberto was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 12th minute Ronaldo Alcântara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horacio Heriberto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Charles Darwin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Tomé Montenegro made a huge save. Horacio Heriberto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldo Alcântara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute, Ronaldo Alcântara left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ferreira Lopes MZC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. If Ronaldo Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 22nd minute Ronaldo Alcântara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horacio Heriberto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Dário Martins left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ferreira Lopes MZC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Horacio Heriberto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldo Alcântara, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After some careless play in the Los Delfines defense, Ronaldo Alcântara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Horacio Heriberto. The Los Delfines fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Horacio Heriberto should have stopped the shot. The Ferreira Lopes MZC fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when Ferreira Lopes MZC's Ronaldo Alcântara looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ferreira Lopes MZC's Tomé Montenegro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alejandro Illan in the 39th minute of play. Horacio Heriberto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dário Martins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 47 minutes, the score became 0-8 when Ronaldo Alcântara sped through Los Delfines's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Horacio Heriberto. Ferreira Lopes MZC made a substitution. Herald Depauw replaced Luka Beaugendre. After the first half Ferreira Lopes MZC were leading 0-8. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Charles Darwin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Ronaldo Alcântara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 54th match minute, Los Delfines was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaspar Iraido to maneuver through the defense. In the 60th minute Ronaldo Alcântara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horacio Heriberto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Horacio Heriberto was out of position in the 63 minute of play, and Sidnei Bertassi capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sidnei Bertassi really showed his touch with that goal: 0-9. Dário Martins took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Horacio Heriberto. Horacio Heriberto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-10. Ronaldo Alcântara might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Horacio Heriberto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ronaldo Alcântara ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldo Alcântara in the 68th minute of play forced Los Delfines's goalkeeper Horacio Heriberto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 69 minutes into the game, Alejandro Illan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Los Delfines's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ferreira Lopes MZC the free kick. Alejandro Illan hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Horacio Heriberto came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Ferreira Lopes MZC's Ronaldo Alcântara. But to his dismay, Ronaldo Alcântara quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-11. In the 75th minute, Ronaldo Alcântara ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Horacio Heriberto was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-12. In the 78th minute, Ronaldo Alcântara ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Horacio Heriberto was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-13. After a rather tough play, Ferreira Lopes MZC's Ronaldo Alcântara got a free kick in the 80th minute. Ronaldo Alcântara received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Horacio Heriberto came out and tried to block the shot, but Ronaldo Alcântara slotted it home off the left post making it 0-14 in the 84th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 87 minutes, Horacio Heriberto successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Horacio Heriberto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldo Alcântara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Horacio Heriberto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldo Alcântara, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Los Delfines's Horacio Heriberto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldo Alcântara in the 94th minute of play. The supporters of Los Delfines booed when Ferreira Lopes MZC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dário Martins didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Los Delfines fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ferreira Lopes MZC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
