Felix Larren was slow to take the kick. During this time Sociedad Anónima's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Sociedad Anónima's corner Felix Larren fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rafael Martino quite easily take care of the ball. After 20 played minutes Club Sportivo Italiano got a freekick which was hit by Amadeo Oxel. Bidun Cases fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Martino having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bidun Cases in the 31st minute of play forced Club Sportivo Italiano's goalkeeper Rafael Martino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute Bidun Cases shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Martino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Felix Larren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Rafael Martino made a huge save. The supporters of Club Sportivo Italiano booed when Sociedad Anónima was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inko Estibalez didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Bidun Cases hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Sociedad Anónima's Silvestre Savion was substituted for Bidun Cases. The throw-in from Amadeo Oxel in the 82nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Sociedad Anónima's Baldomiro Cubillo. Rafael Martino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Larren in the 84th minute of the match. If Inko Estibalez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Colas Carriles hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sociedad Anónima fans cheered their team off the field, for while Club Sportivo Italiano had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
