The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Gradimir Juraga took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Scott Stopar to make any attempt to save it. After a defensive mix-up in Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK's zone, Osmar Motta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Scott Stopar came out of the goal and Osmar Motta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Scott Stopar came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by GNK Dinamo Zagreb™'s Ladislav Kašić. But to his dismay, Ladislav Kašić quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Scott Stopar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ladislav Kašić, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After 21 minutes of play, GNK Dinamo Zagreb™'s Osmar Motta made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Scott Stopar was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 26th minute, GNK Dinamo Zagreb™'s Ladislav Kašić dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. 32 minutes into the match, Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK's goal looked a bit too open when Ladislav Kašić came free, but Scott Stopar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ladislav Kašić hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK defense, Zachary Parzysz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Scott Stopar. The Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Scott Stopar should have stopped the shot. Scott Stopar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Osmar Motta in the 37th minute. Scott Stopar came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by GNK Dinamo Zagreb™'s Zachary Parzysz. But to his dismay, Zachary Parzysz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. In the 41st minute, Gordan Kordić made a precise shot to the right of Scott Stopar. Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. 44 minutes into the game, Ladislav Kašić was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GNK Dinamo Zagreb™'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK the free kick. The supporters of Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK booed when GNK Dinamo Zagreb™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ladislav Kašić didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Doyle Brunson to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toni Marčić in the 53rd minute of play forced Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK's goalkeeper Scott Stopar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 56 minutes into the match, Zachary Parzysz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Scott Stopar. Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zachary Parzysz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-0. Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK were furious when Phil Ivey was red carded, 60 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The supporters of GNK Dinamo Zagreb™ booed when Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Phil Ivey didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK's Gottfrid Lindström got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Osmar Motta took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Scott Stopar. Scott Stopar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 10-0. After 67 played minutes Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Eklund. Scott Stopar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ladislav Kašić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
