He was immediately shown a red card. A collision led to Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Doyle Brunson hit a great ball. After 20 minutes of play, Mainumby's Gerardo Oinatz made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Scott Stopar was left in no man's land by his defense there! Candido Suero kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Santiago Gau didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 30th minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. Scott Stopar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerardo Oinatz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Mainumby's zone, Gottfrid Lindström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santiago Gau came out of the goal and Gottfrid Lindström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 36 played minutes Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK got a freekick which was hit by Phil Ivey. 46 minutes into the game, Eusebio Fiz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Scott Stopar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Mainumby made a substitution. Honorato Omero replaced Candido Suero. The wind increased when Gottfrid Lindström made the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, Armando Beltza notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK's Scott Stopar. Scott Stopar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With an all-out effort, Mainumby's Scott Stopar threw himself towards the right post 60 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gerardo Oinatz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 62nd minute, Isaac Urtungo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gottfrid Lindström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Santiago Gau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Mainumby getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Nils Vennersten might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Santiago Gau. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nils Vennersten ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 82nd match minute, Mainumby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amadeo Olivar to maneuver through the defense. Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK's Scott Stopar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK from getting a goal against them. Amadeo Olivar kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Amadeo Olivar hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. In the 97th match minute, Mainumby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Semeno to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Mainumby's zone, Nils Vennersten stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santiago Gau came out of the goal and Nils Vennersten tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Mainumby supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mainumby would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
