The crowd rose to their feet as Telmo Bulhosa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Delmiro Pitin. That made the score 2-0 in the 25 minute of play. With his leg Delmiro Pitin managed to avoid a goal in the 30thth minute, when VB-Team's Luís Caeiro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 35 minutes into the match, ACF Fiorentina's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Corte-Real came free, but Delmiro Pitin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valter Prada hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
