In the 6th minute Adriano Barone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gervasio Sazon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Braulio Erasto hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Gervasio Sazon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adriano Barone, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. 0-1 became the score in the 11th minute when Ulises Ramone elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Ciro Del Vecchio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulises Ramone in the 18th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulises Ramone in the 20th minute of play forced Villa Gordiani's goalkeeper Ciro Del Vecchio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Villa Gordiani's Ciro Del Vecchio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carolo Cristos in the 21st minute of play. Ulises Ramone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Villa Gordiani booed when ORIZABA F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciro Del Vecchio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. When Ferruccio Prandini fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Villa Gordiani's protests and gave Ferruccio Prandini a yellow card for diving instead. In the 41st minute, Ferruccio Prandini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ciro Del Vecchio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulises Ramone, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67th minute ORIZABA F.C. were awarded a corner. Albano Rodriguez went to the cornerflag to take it. When Ferruccio Gelsomini was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 78 minutes had been played. Albano Rodriguez took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 80th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ciro Del Vecchio. Villa Gordiani's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 81st minute, Ulises Ramone made a precise shot to the right of Ciro Del Vecchio. Villa Gordiani's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-6. Ciro Del Vecchio stood somewhat misplaced when Ulises Ramone came free in front of goal and shot 1-7 to the left of him in the 85 minute. After 87 played minutes Villa Gordiani got a freekick which was hit by Amedeo Scarpa. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dante Txema got free with Ciro Del Vecchio in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ciro Del Vecchio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dante Txema's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. With an all-out effort, ORIZABA F.C.'s Ciro Del Vecchio threw himself towards the right post 95 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ulises Ramone, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When the final whistle sounded ORIZABA F.C. left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Villa Gordiani.
