Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Brian Urpani to make the kick off. Mario Chaime was shown his second yellow card after 86 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Bresikas's Mario Chaime got a free kick in the 86th minute. When Floriana Celtics's Malcolm Hili in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Floriana Celtics's Malcolm Hili was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 90th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. If David Terribile had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Floriana Celtics could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Bresikas throughout the match.
